Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Zane Grey's Western Union, the 1941 Fritz Lang historical cowboy western (based on the novel by Zane Grey; about the early days of the legendary telegraph company, and specifically their connecting Omaha and Salt Lake City with telegraph wires, and the great difficulties they encounter in doing so) starring Robert Young, Randolph Scott, Dean Jagger, Virginia Gilmore, John Carradine, Slim Summerville, Chill Wills, and Barton MacLane (as Jack Slade). Note that legendary director Fritz Lang was certainly not known for westerns, but he had had success directing The Return of Frank James the year before this, and this was his second western (and years later, he would do one more, Rancho Notorious)!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good to very good. Prior to linenbacking, the poster was in good to very good condition. The poster had many tears and small areas of paper loss down much of the vertical foldline and had holes at the crossfolds. There were some creases and small tears along the other foldlines and pinholes, smudges, and small areas of paper loss in the borders. Linenbacking has minimized the poster's defects, but they are still noticeable (mostly in the cheek and forehead of Virginia Gilmore at center), although I do not think they are all that distracting.
