France Toujours! France Quand Meme! (literally translates to "Always France! France Forever!"), the 1918 French World War I (WWI) Home Front poster proclaiming the longevity of the country despite what battles occur, and featuring Gustave Fraipont art of French warriors and solders from the Gauls and Middle Ages all the way to modern First World War soldiers.

Important Added Info: Note that this cool 17" x 44 3/4" poster originally came with an 11 1/2" x 19 1/2" numbered guide sheet, which explains what is shown on it. The person who owned this poster also owned the numbered guide sheet, and they had both of them linenbacked, and the winner of this auction will receive both of them.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had three horizontal folds and had minor wear on those folds, and some creases and smudges around the edges, with some smudges scattered in the background areas. It had pinholes in the corners and tears in the center of the top border. The numbered guide sheet had some border wear. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto a thin linen with no excess, and over the years, the original folds "returned", and the small tear at the top center of the poster is separating from the linen (see our image).
