Lee silent family relationship melodrama ("Alice's task was to keep peace in the family"; "Booth Tarkington's prize novel"; about a beautiful young woman in a small town who was born to a working class family, and she wants to "move up" socially, but she is thwarted in her efforts by her gauche family members) starring Florence Vidor (in the title role as Alice Adams), Claude Gillingwater, Harold Goodwin, Margaret McWade, and Tom Ricketts. Note that this movie was remade in 1935 with Katharine Hepburn in the title role. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned anything from this movie until we received this glass slide! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
