An Original 1948 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More)

Fantomas, the 1947 Jean Sacha French master criminal crime thriller starring Marcel Herrand (in the title role as Fantomas), Simone Signoret (in one of her earliest starring roles!), Alexandre Rignault, Lucienne Le Marchand, and Andre Le Gall. Note that the Fantomas character was in French stories, and was in a French movie by Louis Feuillade in 1913, which spawned four sequels, and is generally considered to have been the forerunner of the American serials of the middle 1910s. There also was a 1920 English Fantomas, and a 1932 U.S. version prior to this movie.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a few Argentinean posters, a Belgian poster, and a few Spanish heralds from this movie (and no other movie paper) until we received this Italian one-panel! Also note that the poster has an artist's signature on it, but we cannot read it. If anyone knows the name of this artist, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good. The poster has tiny pinholes around the edges and some tiny separation at the crossfolds, with pretty minor border wear. There are two tax stamps in the top left corner of the image. There are a few pinholes scattered in the image (see our image).
