An Original Vintage Theatrical Australian Advertising Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" [8 x 8 cm]) (Learn More)

Harley-Davidson is an American motorcycle company founded in 1903 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson. Harley-Davidson motorcycles (also known as "Harleys") are noted for the tradition of heavy customization that gave rise to the chopper style of motorcycle. The company sponsors clubs, races, events and a museum.
Important Added Info: Note that this Australian glass slide is in a square shape and measures 3 1/4" x 3 1/4", which is not the same as standard U.S. glass slides. We can say for certain it is Australian but the price of buying on credit is given as 1 pound per week, and the location is given as Holmesville, which was in Australia, and this was consigned to us from Australia! We can't say for certain what date it is from, but it is surely quite early, and our best guess is the 1910s. If anyone knows more about exactly when this wonderful slide is from, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see!

Condition: very good. Around half of the black tape is missing, but otherwise, the slide is in nice condition!
