Roy Lichtenstein was an American artist from the 1950s to the 1990s. He was a leading figure in the new art movement of the 1960s and his work defined the basic premise of pop art through parody. His work was heavily influenced by both popular advertising and the comic book style. Roy passed away in 1997 at the age of 73.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster advertises the Roy Lichtenstein exhibition at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City that ran from September 19 to November 16, 1969. It is a 1969 original poster that was printed by Poster Originals Ltd of New York and is from an edition size of between 3000 and 5000. It is absolutely the original 1969 poster and not any sort of any later reproduction.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has pinholes in the corners and in the center of the bottom border. It has creases and faint scuffs around the edges, with some creases scattered in the image (see our image).
