An Original Vintage Unfolded Stage Play Poster (measures 20" x 30 1/4" [51 x 77 cm]) (Learn More)

Child Slaves of New York, the 1903 Charles Blaney white slavery detective crime mystery thriller stage play ("'He is the detective - you know what to do!'") starring Will H. Vedder, Harry Le Van, Lewis Wood, S.S. Simpson, and Harry First. The poster for this play features great art of a group of turbaned bearded guys (including "Kaldar The Mystic") grabbing a detective who has apparently infiltrated their white slavery ring! If anyone knows more about this play, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a remarkable group of around 100 guaranteed authentic mostly war posters (around 75 war posters, plus 25 others, including political ones) mostly dating from before 1900 through 1945, with 15 from after that date! These were originally acquired by an archive decades ago, and they have been in storage ever since, until they were recently consigned to us. Many of these are the sorts of posters that you can find reproductions of on the Internet, but finding guaranteed originals like these is incredibly difficult (years can go by before these are offered for sale or at auction). This is a very rare opportunity to purchase any of these more than 100 posters!

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had some smudges, creases, and small tears around the edges, with a few tiny areas of paper loss. Someone put paper tape on the back of the borders to reinforce those areas. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition, especially considering its age.
