An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Hills of Home, the 1948 Fred M. Wilcox Scotland canine Collie dog family adventure melodrama ("Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer brings you another great drama as wonderful as 'The Green Years'"; "Suggested by the Ian Maclaren sketches 'Doctor of the Old School'") starring Edmund Gwenn, Donald Crisp, Tom Drake, Janet Leigh (very young in her third movie role!), Lassie, Rhys Williams, Reginald Owen, and Edmund Breon NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this slide comes with the protective cardboard holders that were placed over each side of the glass when they were shipped to theaters (to prevent breakage), and they obviously worked well, or otherwise they would have had to send them a different way! 99% of the time, theaters discarded these cardboard inserts, and so they are almost never found with the slide, but this slide has its rare original cardboard inserts! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
