Anisimova, Oleg Nikolayevsky, & Eduard Pentslin Russian ballet dancing musical melodrama (based on the Bashkirian folk tale of the same name) starring Ildus Khabirov, Elza Suleymanova, Khalyaf Safiullin, Gentlyakai Gallyamov, and Galimyan Karamyshev. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Zelensky Important Added Info: Note that this looks like it could be an incomplete poster (because the artwork runs off the left and right, and there is no title or credits on the poster). But we think it is complete, because it is the exact same size as other Russian export posters of this time, and because they also have a small white bottom border with no borders on the other three sides. It is quite possible that they were sent blank to other countries so that the specific country that the poster was used in could write in titles in their own language. The poster comes to us from a man who ran a theater that showed foreign films in the 1950s and 1960s, and he showed this movie there in 1959, and his Russian distributor sent him this poster, which is what he displayed when he showed the movie. It has a "Made in USSR" stamp on the back. We were able to confirm that this poster is from this movie by checking with a Russian poster expert.
