An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More)

The Love Mart, the 1927 George Fitzmaurice silent New Orleans Louisiana pirate slave trader romantic melodrama ("Adapted by Benjamin Glazer from 'The Code of Victor Jallot' by Edward Childs Carpenter"; a cool story of a swashbuckler in early New Orleans, who wins a barber shop and decides to settle down and become a barber!; a pretty woman rejects him because he is "just a barber", but when an evil man lies that she is a "quadroon" [1/4 Negro], and sells her into slavery, the barber resumes his swashbuckling and rescues her) starring Billie Dove, Gilbert Roland, Ray Turner, Noah Beery Sr., and Boris Karloff. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that the still shows a great candid image of Billie Dove, Gilbert Roland, and director George Fitzmaurice on the set greeting Secretary of Labor, James J. Davis! Also note that there is information about the still printed on the back.

Condition: very good to fine. There is tiny paper loss in the top left blank corner. There are a few faint emulsion scuffs scattered around the edges of the still, but they are truthfully not very noticeable at all except when the still is tilted to the light.
