An Original Vintage Theatrical 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Anna May Wong was a Chinese-American actress from the 1910s to the 1960s. Some of her movies include: Shanghai Express, Thief of Bagdad, Impact, Across to Singapore, and Piccadilly. Unfortunately, due to the prejudices of the time, the studios cast white actresses over her, even in Asian roles, having the white actresses perform in "yellowface", which meant that Miss Wong would almost always play a friend or enemy of the white actress in the lead Asian role! She passed away in 1961 at the age of 56. Important Added Info: We don't know if this still is a candid, or if it is from a movie. If anyone knows more about this still, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this still (which is printed on a regular weight paper) measures 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
