An Original Vintage Autographed 4 1/4" x 6" [11 x 15 cm] Postcard (Learn More)

Interesting Hollywood California, the early 1940s booklet ("Where stars shine night and day"; "The bright lights of Hollywood Boulevard") featuring artwork of a film being shot and multicolored spotlights illuminating the night sky. The inside features information about the history of Hollywood. Note that this booklet contains a single sheet that has 18 postcard-like images. The idea was you mailed the entire booklet to someone and they would then enjoy the 18 scenes inside. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Bette Davis, Billie Burke, Gracie Allen, Anthony Quinn, Jeanne Cagney, Ward Bond, J. Carrol Naish, Frank Albertson, James Burke, Dick Wharf, and Rosita Moreno. It belonged to a soldier who visited Hollywood in the early 1940s (no doubt during World War II, and on leave), and he met these celebrities, and they signed this booklet for him, all on the same page (see our image). We have pictured that page opened out, and also the cover of the album, but there are a bunch of fold-out detachable images showing full-color Hollywood scenes with captions above each scene. The soldier wrote his name and military address on the inside flap of the booklet, which was designed to be sealed and mailed, and he sent it to his home in New York, addressed to his mother!

Condition: good to very good. Because the booklet was sealed and mailed, there is surface paper loss on the front and back of the covers. The page with the autographs has some creases down the left and right edges, but is otherwise in nice condition (see our image).
