An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) If I Were Queen, the 1922 Wesley Ruggles silent romantic love triangle mistaken identity melodrama ("From the story 'The Three Cornered Kingdom' by Du Vernet Rabell"; a complicated story of a European Prince who is supposed to marry a Princess from a neighboring kingdom, but he mistakes an American heiress for the Princess and falls in love with her) starring Ethel Clayton, Andree Lejon, Warner Baxter, Victory Bateman, and Murdock MacQuarrie. Note that Warner Baxter was born in 1889, and in the early 1920s he rose to prominence in silent movies, becoming a major star of the 1920s, while he was in his 30s. He won the Oscar for Best Actor as The Cisco Kid in "In Old Arizona" in 1929, and he remained a top star throughout the 1930s. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
