He is 3,000,000 light years from home."; "Written by Melissa Mathison"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Dee Wallace, Peter Coyote, Henry Thomas ("as Elliott"), Drew Barrymore (in her second movie role!), and Robert MacNaughton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that when this movie was first released, some 27" x 41" posters with the bike over the moon image were created and were personally distributed by Steven Spielberg only and are virtually impossible to find, and we have NEVER auctioned one until now (and we only know of one other in collectors' hands, although there may of course be more we are unaware of)! This is one of those incredibly rare posters given by Spielberg to the cast and crew, and it has an unsigned inscription in the lower right in gold marker. Shortly after those were made, the studio created the 26 3/4" x 40 1/2" bike over the moon posters for the first regular release, and those posters sell for a great deal of money, but the poster we are offering here is many times more rare! Please bid with confidence that this poster is one of the ultra rare very first release posters solely given to the cast and crew prior to the bike over the moon one-sheet posters (for those of you wanting to know the exact measurements of this poster, it measures 27 1/16" x 40 15/16" overall, and the image area measures 25 1/16" by just under 39")! Condition: good. The poster has an unsigned inscription in the lower right in gold marker . The poster was never folded and it was roughly handled while it was rolled and there are two lines of scattered small creases (most between 1/2" and 1"), one running down the center of the poster and one 2" to the right of it (see our super-sized image). There are some other creases scattered in the poster. Certainly, the poster can still be displayed and enjoyed just as it is, or a talented restorer could touch up those creases (with or without backing the poster). Learn More about condition grades
