eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 7x0042 BARBARA STANWYCK signed 9x11 contract '53 getting paid $75,000 as Marina in Blowing Wild! Date Sold 6/19/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed Contract (measures 8 1/2" x 11"; 23 pages) (Learn More) Barbara Stanwyck (born Ruby Catherine Stevens) was a major female star from the 1920s to the 1980s. She was an immediate hit in sexy "bad girl" parts in the very early 1930s, and in 1931, she was described as "the girl with the Mona Lisa smile". Some of her movies include: Stella Dallas (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Double Indemnity (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Lady Eve, Meet John Doe, Ball Of Fire (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Sorry, Wrong Number (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, and scores of others! In her later years, she took a starring role on TV's "The Big Valley", and "The Colbys" (as spin-off of "Dynasty"). She passed away in 1990 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Barbara Stanwyck! Note that this great contract required that Stanwyck sign both with her "true name" and with her "professional name", and since Stanwyck's "true name" was her professional name, she signed it twice, so this contract contains two great signatures, one above the other (of course, actually, Stanwyck had been born "Ruby Catherine Stevens", but she had legally changed her name to Barbara Stanwyck prior to this). Note that we have photographed the cover and first page of the contract, as well as the page with the signatures. We also photographed four other pages, because those pages had changes that the star initialed (see our images). We did not photograph the remaining pages, but you can see above how many pages there are in all. Note that included with the contract is a 3-page agreement between Universal Pictures and U.S. Pictures, stating that Universal is suspending their contract with Miss Stanwyck during the time she is working for U.S. Pictures (see our image of the first page of that 3-page agreement, which is NOT signed by Stanwyck, but which is signed by representatives of the two studios). Note that our consignor has been a memorabilia dealer for the past 30 years, and he tells us that he is certain this autograph is authentic. In some cases he obtained the autographs in person, and in other cases (like with contracts and agreements), it is obvious the signatures are authentic, but he vouches for the authenticity of every item that he has consigned to us, and we also feel certain that the autographs are authentic. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
