Date Sold 6/16/2019Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. A Group of 7 Unfolded Special Posters (measure 18" x 24" [46 x 61 cm]) (Learn More) Star Tours is a motion simulator attraction based on the successful Star Wars film series created by George Lucas (making it the first Disney attraction based on a non-Disney produced film). The first incarnation of the ride appeared in Tomorrowland at Disneyland in 1987. The ride has been introduced in almost all Disney theme-parks around the world. At the 2009 D23 Expo, it was announced that the rides were to be changed to a "prequel" called Star Tours - The Adventures Continue (or Star Tours II) If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that these posters were kept rolled in their original packaging including their identification labels (pictured) and some of the plastic wrap still have their price tags! We have unrolled the posters to photograph them, but we have placed them back into their original packaging which will be sent to the winner of this auction. Note also: We have 14 images of the special posters in this set, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 14 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 4. Note that this special "all Star Wars" auction began with a phone call from a VERY long time collector of Star Wars posters! He told us that he had reached a point in his life where he was wanting to sell his collection, and he asked if we could do it all at one time. Because he had 174 posters (including many of the most rare and desirable ones), we were happy to comply, but we told him that we would like to also add additional rare Star Wars posters from other collectors, and he agreed, and after we were consigned an additional 117 posters and related items, we have our auction! We asked the person who assembled the amazing collection of 174 posters in this auction to share with us a written history of how he came to assemble this amazing collection, and if you CLICK HERE, you will be taken to a separate page that shows you what he wrote for us! Condition: very good. Some of the posters have a few light creases scattered in various areas (see our images). They were kept rolled in their original packaging (see above) and are otherwise in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
