An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Blonde Comet, the 1941 William Beaudine automobile car sports racing romantic melodrama (about the daughter of a tire manufacturer who becomes a champion race car driver, and she develops a rivalry with the leading male driver, but when the big race comes along and his car is damaged, she lets him drive hers, which wins the race, and seals their romance!) starring Virginia Vale (in the title role as Beverly Blake, the Blonde Comet), Robert Kent, Barney Oldfield, Vince Barnett, and William Halligan. Note that this movie predates real life female champion race car drivers Shirley Muldowney and Danica Patrick by many decades, and yet it is forgotten today except by major film buffs! It is certain that had the movie been made even a couple of decades later, the woman would never have given up her chance to win just to win her man, because that would be sacrificing something even more important!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that first release 1936 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We had have never auctioned even a single poster or lobby card from this movie until we auctioned this one-sheet. Now the person who bought it has re-consigned it to us, so it is still the only movie paper from this movie we have ever auctioned!
