What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had darkened somewhat, typical of French war posters of this period. It had paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other crossfolds. It had tiny bits of paper loss in the top quarter of the vertical fold and in the top horizontal fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. It had some pinholes and small tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
