An Unfolded German Special Poster (measures 33" x 47 3/4" [84 x 121 cm]) (Learn More)

German Carnival Poster, the 1930s German poster featuring wonderful Richard Klein artwork of a reveler and a scantily-clad woman in mid-air! This poster was not printed with information about the carnival/festival it was promoting (perhaps it was a printer's test, or more likely, it was intended to be used at more than one carnival/festival, so by printing it without text, the information could be added at a later time, either through overprinting or being handwritten). If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: Richard Klein

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a 6" tear in the upper left border that extends to the edge of the arm and there is tape on the back of that tear. It has a 6" tear in the lower left border, solely in the white background area, and there is tape on the back. It has tiny paper loss in the bottom left corner. It has a 3" tear in the bottom quarter, with some very tiny tears in the other borders. It has tape on the back of the top border that has darkened the front in the blank area. Other than the above, the poster has survived in really nice condition, and after a simple linenbacking, it will display wonderfully.
