Who couldn't see the danger Until one day, one fateful day... Along came a Tall, Dark Stranger!"; "The Man Who Bought Her...The Tall, Dark Stranger Who Sought Her!"; "When hot blooded men fight over a woman! Not even the Indians can match them for savagery!"; "A bare-fisted love feud!") starring Loretta Young ("Academy Award Winner - 1947"; in the title role as Rachel Harvey), William Holden, Robert Mitchum, Gary Gray, Tom Tully, and Frank Conlan. Note that after production of this film ended, Mitchum was arrested for smoking pot. Rather than destroy his career (as he reportedly lamented), this film was immediately released and did very well at the box office, in spite of attempts by some show business columnists to boycott all films starring Mitchum! Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. The card had many smudges and stains scattered throughout, and it had darkened. It had some pinholes and tears around the edges. Overall, the card was in fair condition prior to restoration. A talented restorer gel backed the card (meaning they backed the card onto a gel material) and they then performed restoration to the above defects, and then removed the gel backing, so that the card still looks and feels like an original card (and it is!), with no backing at all. Given the card's defects described above, the restorer did a pretty good job, but you can see signs of the defects and the restoration, but the card displays pretty well (see our super-sized images to get a good sense of exactly how the card looks now). Also, someone put a piece of clear tape in the center of both the top and bottom borders, after it was restored. Learn More about condition grades
