An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Illicit, the 1931 Archie Mayo pre-Code romantic living-in-sin melodrama (as relevant today as it was 78 years ago, about a couple who refuses to marry because they are afraid that marriage will ruin their relationship, but they give in to social pressure and do marry, and their relationship IS ruined, and they decide to separate and go back to how they were!) starring Barbara Stanwyck (in her fourth credited movie role!), Charles Butterworth, James Rennie, Ricardo Cortez, Joan Blondell (in her fifth movie role!), and Natalie Moorhead. Note that you may not have heard of male lead James Rennie, but he was a major silent star who also appeared on Broadway, but surprisingly, his career went downhill after the advent of sound, and he was quickly reduced to character roles. He was also married to Dorothy Gish for 15 years! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
