La Reine Margot (released in the U.S. as "Queen Margot"), the 1954 Jean Dreville Italian/French historical religious war royalty romantic melodrama (based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, with a screenplay by Abel Gance; set in the 1570s, during the French Wars of Religion; Jeanne Moreau is the daughter of the king, and Francoise Rosay is her mother, and her mother wants her to marry a prominent French Protestant, one of the Huguenots, supposedly to unite the Protestants and Catholics, but secretly, she is planning the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre, during which all of the most prominent Huguenots will be murdered!) starring Jeanne Moreau (in the title role), Armando Francioli, Robert Porte, Henri Genes, and Francoise Rosay (as Catherine de Medici)

Artist: Boris Grinsson
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this French poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this partially French movie! Also note that this French six-panel was printed in 6 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: good to very good. There are five small foreign circular stamps scattered in the poster. There are two small Dutch snipes glued in the lower left and bottom right. Some of the sections have tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition, and after a simple linenbacking, it will display wonderfully!
