An Original 1943 (from the first release of this movie in the Netherlands) Vintage Theatrical Folded Dutch Movie Poster (measures 19 3/4" x 27 1/2" [50 x 70 cm]) (Learn More)

Schneewittchen und Die Sieben Zwerge (literally translates to "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"), the 1939 Carl Heinz Wolff German live-action fantasy fairy tale family adventure (written and produced by Hubert Schonger) starring Marianne Simson (in the title role as Schneewittchen), Elisabeth Wendt, Walter Kynast, Alfred Pussert, and Ferdinand Reich. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows if this is true, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: Jacob Jansma
Important Added Info: Note that we previously listed this poster under Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but included a note about how we were skeptical that it was actually promoting that film. Now, a very knowledgeable collector and further research indicate that this poster is promoting this German film. This is supported by The Memory (a database from more than a hundred Dutch museums, archives and libraries) which has this poster and mentions producer/writer Hubert Schonger, and the Rijksfilmkeuring censorship logo on the poster (which was used when the Netherlands were occupied by Nazi Germany and would not have shown American films). While IMDB lists the Dutch first release date as 1941, Dutch sources mention 1943 which is what we are going with. Finally, note that the artwork on the poster may have been inspired by the Walt Disney version of the fairy tale.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster was folded at one time, but it is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
