Important Added Info: Note that this special poster (referred to in the hobby as a "7-sheet", because it is slightly larger than a six-sheet) was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap, similar to a six-sheet from this time period. This is the second time we have auctioned this 7-sheet, which is the "international" style, and the other time we auctioned this poster was five years ago, when it sold for $8,200. The reason we know it is the international style is because six years ago, we auctioned a very similar 7-sheet that measured 83" x 91" (obviously extremely close to this poster), and that poster had a tagline in the left and also "Opens June 20 Everywhere" in the lower left, with the shark image solely in the lower right. That poster was a domestic 7-sheet (and it sold for $11,000), and this poster is the international style 7-sheet. The reason this one doesn't have a date on it is because the filmmakers knew when it would open in the U.S. when they printed the domestic 7-sheet, but they could not put a date on the international 7-sheet, because it would be used in several different countries that would have different opening dates. This international 7-sheet has a perfectly centered shark image, so some might consider it more visually appealing than the domestic 7-sheet, but of course, it does not have the tagline that the other poster has. The condition of the international 7-sheet we auctioned five years ago was "good to very good", because it had some scattered paper loss on some folds, and this one is in much nicer condition, similar to that of the domestic 7-sheet we auctioned five years ago.

Condition: very good. The poster was printed in two sections, and each section has a few small tears and tiny paper loss around the edges, and some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, and some smudges and stains on the parts of the sections that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. The title of the movie was written on the back of one section, but it does not show through to the front. They are certainly nothing serious, and will be easily addressed when the poster is backed, as it almost surely will be, prior to being displayed. The only other example of this poster we have auctioned had a great amount of fold and border wear (with some paper loss), and that one was graded "good to very good", and this example is in clearly superior condition to that one (and these are the only two examples of this poster we have ever auctioned)!
