An Original Vintage Tri-Folded Circus Nine-Sheet Poster (measures 79 1/2" x 117 1/2", approximately 6 1/2' x 10') (Learn More) Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Combined Circus, a 1945 circus nine-sheet poster featuring a great giant artwork image by Bill Bailey of a smiling clown tipping his hat! ("The Greatest Show on Earth"). If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. The modern version of the circus started in 1919 when the Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth, a circus created by P. T. Barnum and James Anthony Bailey, was merged with the Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows. With weakening attendance and high operating costs, the circus closed on May 21st, 2017 after 146 years. Artist: Bill Bailey Important Added Info: Note that this poster will need to be sent in a very large flat package that measures approximately 13" x 34" x 1" high, so please bear the shipping costs of this very large package in mind BEFORE you place a bid! This poster was printed in 4 sections. Note that when this poster was used, someone glued the four pieces together before putting it on display. Condition: very good to fine. One of the sections of the poster had a part torn while it was fully folded, which resulted in a clean 6" tear near the top of the first "NG" of "RINGLING" and a similar 6" clean tear in the bottom of the clown image, near the artist's signature. There was separation at the crossfold that was on the outside when the poster was fully folded, and someone put tape on the back of that crossfold. There is some very minor faint water staining on the back of the foldline that was on the outside when it was fully folded, but it is pretty unnoticeable from the front. Other than the above basically very minor defects, the poster is in quite nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
