An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Bahama Passage, the 1941 Edward H. Griffith Caribbean Bahamas tropical island romantic melodrama ("Based on a story by Nelson Hayes") starring Madeleine Carroll, Sterling Hayden (billed as "Stirling Hayden"; in his first starring role!), Flora Robson, Leo G. Carroll, Mary Anderson, Cecil Kellaway, and Dorothy Dandridge. Note that the love scenes in this movie got fairly hot and heavy, which could account for why Sterling Hayden and Madeleine Carroll ended up getting married!

Important Added Info: Note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the still was printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that it WAS printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So it is an original still from 1941, but it was printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good to very good. There are some pieces of clear tape on the front and back of the borders.
