An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More)

Revenge of the Creature, the 1955 Jack Arnold Universal monster Florida horror science fiction (sci-fi) 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) sequel ("Terror is loose in the city!"; "Weird Monster escapes! Terror seizes city!"; "All New Thrills! Shock! Suspense!"; "Monster Escapes!"; "City flees in Terror!"; "Here at last! New thrill wonder 3-D Horrorscope!") starring John Agar, Lori Nelson, John Bromfield, Nester Paiva, Ricou Browning (who played the Gill Man underwater), Tom Hennesy (who played the Gill Man on land), Clint Eastwood (in his big screen [speaking] debut in a bit part as a lab assistant), Brett Halsey, and Flippy the Porpoise. Note that this movie was released in 3-D, but most first release U.S. posters don't bother to mention that (perhaps because the 3-D craze was dying down).

Artist: Reynold Brown
Important Added Info: Note that, as noted above, this movie was originally filmed in 3-D, but because the 3-D craze had ended by the time the movie was ready to be released, it was not released in 3-D in 1955. However, window cards had been prepared with a 3-D tagline ("Here at last! NEW thrill wonder 3-D Horrorscope!") in the lower left. But none of the other posters for the movie, which were printed closer to its release, have a 3-D tagline on them (there were only "2-D" posters made in all other sizes). The extremely rare window card we are offering here (we have only auctioned it once before) is the one WITH the 3-D tagline (there was also a window card without that tagline, and we have auctioned that window card a few times). So if you want a "3-D" poster from this movie, then THIS is the poster you need to get! Also note that this window card was folded in half, and because it was folded perfectly in half, it can be sent in one of our standard size mailers. If it is purchased by itself (or solely with other posters that can be sent in standard size mailers), it will be sent that way. But if it is purchased with posters that need to be sent in oversized mailers, then we will of course send it that way.

Condition: very good. The poster was folded across the middle and there are creases on that fold. There are many tiny staple holes around the edges, with a few extending into the edges of the image. There are stains and smudges in the top blank area. Because the majority of the above defects are in the blank areas, the card will display really well as it is, or of course, the new owner could choose to have some restoration performed. Either way, the new owner will have an extremely rare and extremely cool card from the intended 3-D release of this movie!
