Here Come the Nelsons, the 1951 Frederick De Cordova family comedy ("Radio's favorite family in their first great screen comedy!") starring Ozzie Nelson, Harriet Nelson, David Nelson, Ricky Nelson (billed as "Ozzie and Harriet - David and Ricky"), Rock Hudson, Barbara Lawrence, Sheldon Leonard, and Jim Backus. Note that this movie came after The Nelsons successful radio show about their real-life family. When this movie proved popular, the family began it's long-running TV series, which ran from 1952 to 1966.
