An Original Vintage Linenbacked Polish Stage Play Poster (measures 26 1/2" x 36 3/4" [67 x 93 cm]) (Learn More) Krol Lire (King Lear), the 1983 Polish stage play production (of the classic William Shakespeare play) that was held at the Teatr Ochoty in Zamosc, Poland. Note that this poster features wild artwork of a headless king with a cracked wooden crown by Andrzej Pagowski. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Andrzej Pagowski Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and had the most minor of border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
