9 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More)

Titanic, the 1953 Jean Negulesco ocean liner action disaster tragedy melodrama ("TITANIC in Emotion... In Spectacle... In Climax... In Cast!"; "Written by Charles Brackett, Walter Reisch, and Richard Breen"; based on the classic true story) starring Clifton Webb, Barbara Stanwyck, Robert Wagner, Audrey Dalton, Thelma Ritter, Brian Aherne, Richard Basehart, Allyn Joslyn, James Todd, Frances Bergen, and William Johnstone. Note that the recent discovery that the Titanic broke into three pieces and not two casts severe doubt on the sequence of events of the sinking as portrayed in this movie and several others. It now seems far more likely that the ship sank in a very short period of time, and that the passengers had little chance to perform any of the things they are shown doing in the various movie adaptations of this tragic event!

Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 9 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills.

Condition: good to very good. One or more have tears and/or other defects around the edges (see our image), some of which may have been repaired with tape from the back.
