An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Reckless, the 1935 Victor Fleming romantic love triangle musical screwball comedy ("See Jean Harlow dance! Hear Jean Harlow sing the blues!"; "The giant melody drama!"; "MGM's mammoth musical melodrama!"; Harlow is a showgirl who is madly in love with sports promoter Powell, but he doesn't have time for her, and rich Tone chases after her, but discovers his rich high society friends won't accept showgirl Harlow, even after he marries her) starring Jean Harlow, William Powell, Franchot Tone, May Robson, Ted Healy (most famous as the person who started The Three Stooges; they were first billed as "Ted Healy and his Stooges"; he let them go on their own, hiring replacement "Stooges", but that did not work out well at all!), Nat Pendleton, Robert Light, Rosalind Russell, Mickey Rooney, Allen 'Farina' Hoskins, Man Mountain Dean (the real life wrestler, as himself!), Allan Jones ("The new crooning sensation!"), Henry Stephenson, and Leon Ames NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that most collectors do not linenback lobby cards. There is no real reason for this, just a matter of custom. The collector who owned this lobby card did not know this, and he had it linenbacked, mainly for preservation (and certainly anyone could frame this card with a mat, and happily display it on their wall!). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had staple holes in the corners and some creases and small tears in the borders. There were some faint scuff marks on and around Powell's face, and a 1" tear in the middle of the right border. The card did not have any restoration, and if the new owner chose to, they could have any restorer perform some restoration to the card while it is backed. Learn More about condition grades
