An Original Vintage 16 1/2" x 28" [42 x 71 cm] Uncut Postcard Sheet (Learn More) John Ford's Cowboy Kings of Western Fame, the 1973 John Ford & Will Williams illustrated book. The book contains twenty-four 11" x 16" full-color high-quality plates of Williams' artwork, each of a major cowboy star. Note that there were two versions of this. One has a really elaborate slipcase-like folder, with an image of John Ford on the cover ("A Commemorative Edition of the Great Director's Final Project"; "Limited Printing of 500 Copies"), and the other has a hardcover binding with the Tom Mix image tipped-in to the cover. We don't know if one version of the book predates the other, but the one with the Tom Mix cover has "First hard-cover edition 1974" printed on it. In conjunction with the book release, a set of postcards featuring the same artwork of cowboy stars was also released! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
