Date Sold 7/9/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Pershing's Crusaders, the 1918 silent World War I (WWI) military soldier documentary ("Auspices of the United States Government - the first official American war picture - taken by the U.S. Signal Corps and Navy photographers"; "Official U.S. War Film released by Committee on Public Information George Creel, Chairman"; "First U.S. Official War Film"). Note that the Committee on Public Information released three feature-length films: Pershing's Crusaders, America's Answer (to the Hun) and Under Four Flags If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a different window card (8 years ago) and a herald (and NO mother movie paper of any kind) from this movie until we received this window card! Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: very good. The card has small paper loss in two areas in the top blank area, with a small tear in the middle, and there are two tape repairs on the back of the top border. There are a few minor creases and scuffs scattered in the card. It has had no restoration other than the tape described above, and it displays really well! Learn More about condition grades
