An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Twenty-Four-Sheet Movie Poster (24sh; measures approximately 8' x 17') (Learn More)

See and Hear Warner Bros. Vitaphone Talking Pictures, the late 1920s (certainly in 1928, 1929) stock 24-sheet created by Warner Bros. and Vitaphone for theaters to promote their latest "talking" movies (right after The Jazz Singer in 1927, Warner Bros. jumped to being one of the foremost studios, largely on the basis of its "talking" movies). We have only ever auctioned an incomplete example of this poster, but a complete example of it can be seen at this link .
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this twenty-four sheet was originally printed in at least eight sections designed to overlap, but only four of them are present. THE POSTER IS INCOMPLETE.

UPDATED 09/13/2012: Note that we initially listed this as a complete poster and (based on what we had to work with) guessed that theaters would fill in the missing area with images of "talking movies" that they were showing. However, a knowledgeable collector contacted us and provided an image of the complete poster and we have updated the auction accordingly.

Condition: good. The poster is incomplete . The condition of the four sections that are present is as follows: the section of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded has tears and areas of paper loss on the parts of the foldlines that were on the outside, and that section of the poster is fragile. There is also a diagonal tear in that section that was mended with clear tape from the back. The rest of the poster is not as fragile and is in better condition. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have it properly restored!
