An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Stock One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) All Night Long, the 1924 Harry Edwards United States Marine Corps (USMC) silent military romantic slapstick comedy short ("An attack from an unexpected quarter"; produced by Mack Sennett; written by Frank Capra; with a plot that is far superior to that of the vast majority of these comedy shorts, no doubt attributable to the great talent of Frank Capra, even this early in his career!; about an ex-Marine who falls asleep in a movie theater and wakes up to discover a robbery; one of the robbers is his old Marine Sergeant, and they spend "all night long" talking about the old days, especially the time during World War I when both were in love with the same girl!) starring Harry Langdon, Natalie Kingston, Fanny Kelly, Vernon Dent, Vance Veith, and Leo Sulky NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Theaters would order this
poster, which had a large blank area at bottom right. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie,
and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in
each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors
consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area (this poster was overprinted with the title "All Night Long"). Note that, because this is a "stock" poster that was used for all Mack Sennett shorts, the image is NOT of any particular
Sennett comedy star, but instead is a great stone litho image of a bunch of sexy girls wearing what were then incredibly skimpy costumes! Condition: very good. There is separation at the crossfolds and there are a few small tears and light brown stains along some of the foldlines and edges.
