Important Added Info: Note that this 1940s re-release title card is extremely rare. We have never auctioned it before (and we have also never auctioned the first release title card from 1939)! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. The card is in wonderful condition, EXCEPT for something unusual. It was used in another country (likely Australia), and the credits area at bottom right (below the director credit) has a piece of black tape over it. It measures 5/16" x 5" (see our image). The words "A FIRST NATIONAL PICTURE" were stenciled in tiny letters in the bottom left of the background area, and the card was stamped with "CERT. 'A'" in tiny letters at top right in the blue background area. Other than this, the card is in great condition. One could certainly leave it exactly as it is, or one could choose to have the stamp and stencil overpainted (it is unlikely either could be simply erased). The same is true for the black tape. It is likely that if it were removed, it could remove the surface paper below it, so there would need to be painting in that area. We leave it to the bidders to decide how much the above matters to them, and whether they want to leave the card as it is, but please do not bid on this great (and extremely rare) lobby card unless you have read all of the above.
