Some Like It Hot, the classic 1959 Billy Wilder (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) romantic musical cross-dressing drag crime comedy ("Hot!!!"; about two out of work musicians who happen to witness the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in Chicago, and they need to leave town in a hurry, but the only jobs they can get is with an all-girl band, and they dress in drag, and one of the band members is Marilyn Monroe!) starring Marilyn Monroe ("and her bosom companions"), Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), George Raft, Pat O'Brien, and Joe E. Important Added Info: Note that the German publisher, Taschen, is known for creating incredibly elaborate books. This one is a deluxe coffee table hardcover that measures 2" x 10 1/2" x 16", and contains 384 pages. Inside are some color images from the film, followed by a complete script which has black & white images to the left and right of each page. That takes up the first 223 pages. After that are tons of interviews and much more, all profusely illustrated, and there are lots of posters and pressbook images, plus many candids. Note: We have 13 images of the books in this set, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 13 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 3. Note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads.

Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package (sometimes a very large oversized package; see the dimensions of the item). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. In addition, some of the items that are in this section are ones that are "three dimensional" and need to be shipped in a box, and often need to be sent by themselves, so bear that in mind as well before bidding.

Condition: very good. There is some darkening around the edges of the cover and some on the central portion of the cover and on the back cover, but nothing serious, and otherwise, the book is in really nice condition
