Date Sold 11/18/2008Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 17") (Learn More) Absolute Quiet, the 1936 George B. Seitz romantic love triangle comedy ("It's fun to be thrilled!"; from the story by George F. Worts; a wacky story of a rich businessman who is on the verge of a nervous breakdown from overwork, and he goes to his ranch to rest, but his female assistant makes a play for him, and a plane crash lands at the ranch and it is filled with his enemies and people who have it in for him!) starring Lionel Atwill, Irene Hervey, Raymond Walburn, Stuart Erwin, Ann Loring, Louis Hayward, and Wallace Ford NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card has been trimmed and now measures 14" x 17". The window card originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this was commonly done with window cards, when the top had been left blank, or when someone had hand-scrawled play date information in that area). Most collectors do not consider it to be a significant defect at all, since only blank white paper is lost, and the window card becomes easier to frame. Condition: good to very good. Note that the card measures very slightly under 14" wide and has next-to-no left, right, or bottom blank borders, but it has NOT been trimmed (this was done at a time when MGM was experimenting with having as few borders as possible). There is surface paper loss on the back of the right border, where tape was removed, but it does not affect the front. Learn More about condition grades
