What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had creases and tiny surface paper loss along both folds, with some pinholes, creases, and tiny paper loss around the edges. It had writing on the back of the middle right that bled through to the front in the face of the turbaned man, and stains in the top left corner of the yellow background. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed many years ago, with no excess, and over the years, it faded considerably, and that caused the restoration paint used primarily in the left half of the horizontal fold and in the top half of the vertical fold, to become considerably more noticeable.
