Lee Great Depression Wall Street Stock Market Crash melodrama starring George Bancroft, Olga Baclanova, Nancy Carroll, Paul Lukas, and Arthur Rankin AND Shakedown, the 1929 William Wyler boxer-meets-orphan action comedy starring James Murray, Barbara Kent, George Kotsonaros, Wheeler Oakman, and Jack Hanlon AND The Awakening, the 1928 Victor Fleming talking World War I (WWI) romantic melodrama ("by Frances Marion"; about a loose Frenchwoman who has a liaison with a German soldier, and people shun her, so she finds religion, and becomes a field nurse during World War I, only to have the soldier resurface later in her life) starring Vilma Banky ("Her first starring picture"), Walter Byron, Louis Wolheim, George Davis, William Orlamond, and Carl von Haartman AND Geraldine, the 1929 Melville W.
