An Original Vintage Autographed 8" x 10" Photo (framed and double matted; frame measures 17" x 20" [43 x 51 cm]) (Learn More)

Ronald Reagan was an actor from the 1930s to the 1960s and who later became the 40th President of the United States, serving from 1981 to 1989. Some of his movies include: Knute Rockne: All American, Kings Row, Dark Victory, and scores of others, but he is far better remembered for his later political career and for his "Reagan Revolution" which transformed politics and brought the Republican party on an equal footing with the Democratic party, after having been dominated by the Democrats for many years! He passed away in 2004 at the age of 93 after battling Alzheimer's for many years.
Important Added Info: Note that Junior Coghlan (the actor who played Billy Batson in "The Adventures of Captain Marvel" in 1941) had a picture of himself and Ronald Reagan when he joined the Navy during World War II (soon after his starring role). Mr. Coghlan mounted the picture on a mat and had Ronald Reagan sign it to him, and then he had the picture and mat nicely framed and double matted.

About the Collection this Item Comes From
Note that this item (and 72 others we are auctioning this week, each in its own auction) was consigned to us by an individual who owned a company that made movies and videos with famous celebrities in the 1980s and 1990s. The owner of the company would have the celebrities sign items from their famous films, and sometimes he would find second or third celebrities to autograph an item he already had gotten signed! In addition, he would ask celebrities he came in contact with if they had signed items from other stars that they would sell to him, and he purchased a number of items that way. He also would purchase unsigned items from the famed Larry Edmunds Bookshop in Los Angeles (to have the celebrities sign), and while he was doing that he would also purchase some of their signed items. So all of these 73 autographed items we are auctioning were either obtained in person, obtained from celebrities who obtained them in person, or obtained from the Larry Edmunds Bookshop, and we feel certain that the autograph(s) on this item is authentic! Note that each of the 73 items from this consignor all have this paragraph on them.

Condition: very good. The still and signed mat are in nice condition. There is some surface loss in the edges of the frame, but it could be easily touched up.
