Zoologischer Garten Basel (literally translates to "Basel Zoological Garden"), the 1930s (perhaps 1933 or 1935) Swiss poster advertising the zoo in Basel, Switzerland. Zoo Basel (as it is commonly known) is a non-profit zoo which was founded in 1874. It is Switzerland's oldest and largest zoo (by number of animals), and with over 1.8 million visitors per year, it is one of the most visited tourist attraction in Switzerland. Note that this poster features Urs Eggenschwyler art of a sea lion.
Artist: Urs Eggenschwyler

Condition: very good to fine. The poster has a 1" tear in the center of the lower edge that has been repaired with tape from the back that very slightly bleeds through to the front and there are just a few tiny tears in portions of that edge. Otherwise, especially given its size and age, the poster is in fantastic condition and will display wonderfully for its new owner!
