Lash La Rue (born Alfred Wilson LaRue) was a star of 1940s and 1950s cowboy western movies who always carried his trademark whip, which gave him his nickname. He mostly appeared in B-westerns, but he had a few roles in A-movies including: Lady on a Train, Song of Old Wyoming, and The Master Key. He passed away in 1996 at the age of 78.

Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Lash La Rue! Also note that this still measures 5" x 7", but it has not been trimmed. Apparently, a fan of La Rue's named Frankie, showed up at a collectibles show in 1980 with a copy of a picture that had been taken in 1947 of La Rue posing with his arm around then-young Frankie, and La Rue signed it, putting "We got older since 1947 for God's sake"!

Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who purchased the collection of a dedicated collector, who was a major film buff from the 1950s through the 1990s. He would purchase stills on stars he liked, and then he would go to events or collectibles shows (he went to virtually every collectibles show where stars appeared!), and he would get the items autographed, and many of his photos were personalized to him with nice inscriptions, because over time many of the celebrities who regularly attended shows came to be friends with him! Over many years he was able to acquire a large number of signed stills, and his collection was purchased by our consignor. In this set of auctions we are auctioning the last of his autographed items (and we auctioned others in past "all signed" auctions). We feel certain that the autographs on these items are authentic! Note that each of the items from this consignor all have this paragraph on them.
