Howard) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger (in the title role as Conan), James Earl Jones (as Thulsa Doom), Sandahl Bergman (as Valeria), Ben Davidson, Cassandra Gaviola, Gerry Lopez (as Subotai, thief & archer), Mako (as the Wizard), Valerie Quennessen (as the Princess), William Smith, and Max Von Sydow ("as King Osric") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Frank Frazetta Important Added Info: Note that when this movie was in the planning stages in 1980, 20th Century-Fox created a special poster measuring 22" x 36" (it says "Coming Soon! A Major Motion Picture"), and it has the classic Frank Frazetta art of Conan from his paperback book cover (we don't know if Arnold Schwarzenegger had yet been cast!). In addition, they created a 30x40 poster with the same Frazetta art, but with a full bleed (no blank borders) on all four sides, and that poster says "Dino De Laurentiis presents A John Milius Film", and both posters have a 1980 copyright on them. It would be two more years before the movie was actually released, and the Frazetta art was not used on the U.S. posters, although it was partly used on some posters from other countries! The 22" x 36" poster rarely is offered at auction (we have previously auctioned it four times), and the 30x40 poster is incredibly rare. We are auctioning the 30x40 poster in an earlier section of this major auction (because it is folded), and we are auctioning this 22" x 36" version in this section, because it was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Finally, note that this poster contains nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual poster does not have those white bars! Condition: good to very good. There was the tiniest of paper loss at the crossfold and tiny creases on both folds. There are tiny pairs of staple holes in the borders and some light creases scattered in the poster. The top 1" of the poster has some creases scattered in it.
