Artist: Alexander Iosifovich Shamash Important Added Info: Note that this Russian poster measures 30" x 39 1/4" and was folded once vertically. Condition: very good. the poster is somewhat tattered across the top 2"; there are three irregular 2" tears in the middle of the top (repaired with tape from the back; two of them have small surface paper loss); the top left corner is completely separated and it has been taped back on from the back; there are many small tears, creases, and a couple of tiny areas of paper loss across the top border; the bottom border has a small tear and a lesser number of creases; there are extra creases down the vertical foldline and a few minor creases throughout the image area. The poster is in better condition than the above makes it sound! Its defects are almost exclusively in unimportant areas of the top and bottom borders. It would be easy for an expert restorer to linenback this poster and render its minor defects virtually invisible, after which the poster would look great and it would have little paint restoration anywhere on it!
