NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this poster! Not only that, but we have only ever auctioned three one-sheets, a scene card, and a title card from this 1937 version of this classic story, so ALL first release movie paper from this movie is very rare. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and paper loss on many parts of some folds. The poster also had light staining above the "Mad" of "Madame" in the title, and some other faint stains scattered around the edges. There were some tears and smudges scattered throughout the poster. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of many of the above defects (some were completely left alone) and the restoration of the above defects. In spite of the poster's many defects, it still displays fairly well, and certainly, one could choose to have additional restoration performed. But bear the poster's many defects in mind, and look at our super-sized image before bidding on this incredibly rare poster. Learn More about condition grades
