Seitz "Andy Hardy family" Depression era family relationship legal lawyer courtroom comedy (about a kindly judge and his family; the first of the very popular "Andy Hardy" series of movies; interestingly, in this first movie, Lionel Barrymore plays Judge Hardy rather than Lewis Stone, and he is the focus of the movie, and Mickey Rooney is fourth billed, but in the second movie, Lewis Stone became the judge/father, and Rooney and his character soon took over the series, and his father the judge became a very secondary character!) starring Lionel Barrymore (as Judge Hardy), Cecilia Parker, Eric Linden, Mickey Rooney (as Andy Hardy), Charlie Grapewin and Spring Byington NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that although this is the very first Andy Hardy movie, MGM did not picture Mickey Rooney on the one-sheet or the title card (the insert, which we have seen, has a tiny inset image of him). We have not seen the half-sheet or window card, so we don't know if he is pictured on those. It seems really amazing (in retrospect) that Mickey Rooney only appears on one of the eight cards of this set! Condition: very good. Two of the cards (the title card and the one with the handshake) have a piece of paper tape on the back of the center of the top border, but they were not put there for a restoration purpose. All of the cards have creases in the top corners and some have some tiny pinholes in the corners. A few have a few tiny dot stains around the edges. All of the cards are in "very good" condition, except for the card that is pictured second from top left in our image, which has some faint white staining down the middle right of the card.
