An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Cassino to Korea, the 1950 Edward Genock Korean War/World War II (WWII) documentary ("Approved and endorsed by the U.S. Department of Defense"; "Authentic... full-length feature"; created by the Paramount Newsreel Department, this ran 58 minutes; the central action of the film covers the aerial bombardment of the famed monastery "Montecassino", which the Nazis had fortified and used to slow down the Allied march through Italy to France and Germany, and it also covered the liberation of Salerno) narrated by War Correspondent Quentin Reynolds. You might wonder what the liberation of Italy had to do with Korea, and likely many of the people who saw this documentary were thinking the same thing! The narrator basically explained that just as we had to liberate the Italian people from their dictator, we also had to liberate the North Koreans from their dictator, which was pretty much of a stretch, even in 1950! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good.
