An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More)

Whoopee!, the 1930 Thornton Freeland romantic love triangle musical comedy ("A cyclonic comedy extravaganza!"; "From the musical comedy by William Anthony McGuire"; "Music by Walter Donaldson"; "Lyrics by Gus Kahn"; "All Technicolor"; produced by Florenz Ziegfeld and Samuel Goldwyn; about a girl who is engaged to a cowboy sheriff, but she secretly loves a half-breed Indian; she runs off with a hapless man, who thinks he is just giving her a ride, but she left her fiance a note that she eloped with the hapless man, and a wacky chase ensues!) starring Eddie Cantor, Ethel Shutta (a Broadway stage actress who appeared in this one movie, and then not again for 28 years!), Paul Gregory, Eleanor Hunt, Jack Rutherford, Dorothy Knapp, and Jane Keithley

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this window card, and the last one was 14 years ago, when it sold for $556.94!

Condition: good to very good. The card had a horizontal fold just below Cantor's name and someone put tape on the back of that area. It also had small paper loss in the lower left that affected the "R" of "WALTER" and someone taped a piece from another card to the back of that area and then performed restoration to the front. It also had a 1 1/2" tear near the middle of the right border, extending into the yellow background, that has tape on the back, and slight touch up on the front. It has tiny staple holes in the corners and a tack hole near the center, in the background to the left of the horse. Other than the above, the card is in pretty nice condition, and it displays well, and it truly has had fairly minor restoration.
