An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Danish Movie Poster (measures 24 1/4" x 34" [62 x 86 cm]) (Learn More)

Class and No Class, the 1921 W.P. Kellino English silent society comedy (based on the novel by E. Newton-Bungey) starring Judd Green, Pauline Johnson, David Hawthorne, Marie Ault, and Tom Coventry. There is a tagline on the original Danish poster that translated reads "an entertaining story about an attempt to combine social avarice with a slightly tarnished past", so it would seem to mean that this is a movie about a former down-and-out man who becomes rich and then is confronted by someone from his past! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: H. Roth
Important Added Info: Note that this poster must have been reused when this movie was re-shown in Denmark in the 1950s, because it has a censor stamp in the bottom right, but it is absolutely an original 1921 Danish poster!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and creases and scuffs on the foldlines. There were some stains and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was simply backed on to a very thin linen with no excess, and very little restoration was performed. If I owned this poster, I would surely have it removed from the thin linen, and backed by a talented professional. After the touch up of the defects described above, the poster will look fantastic!
